Don's 5.0. This 5.0 is found in a Ranger Truck! It's powered by
a 5.0 from a 1985 Mustang GT, T-5 from the same. He put in a rear
from an '86 with 2.73's, MSD ignigtion, 4" K&N, Holley 600, Edelbrock
performer and 1" spacer, tri-y headers, custom dual exhaust through
2" pipes, 2 chamber Flormasters and custom interior. - Hear Don's
truck, see them run... MW. |

Stang has a SVO "turbo swirl" alumminum headed crate motor with
"a stock bottom end" a B303 cam and 1.70 crane roller rockers which
makes 512 lift. The heads (O ringed) and intake (edelbrock) were
EXTRUDE HONED by AIR FLOW technologies in Ft. Laudedale, FL., 24
pound injectors with a crane adjustable fuel pressure regulator
and guage, a 70 mm t body and proflow 77mm mass air meter unit.
The exhaust is released into a set of 1-5/8 Mac long tubes into
a 2.5 inch custom welded X-pipe, made by RACECRAFT Performance here
in Margate, FLA.then into flowmasters with 2.5 tails. The electronics
are done by MSD 6al ignition and a MSD timing retard for the 150
HP Nitrous kit added for that extra KICK. A crane cams Fireball
coil helps the MSD along. Aluminium drive shaft, 3.55 gears and
a T5 heavy duty tranny with a centerforce dual friction clutch drives
the rear tires. The suspension is done by STEEDA auto sport. The
full GTRACK3 kit includes, rear upper and lower control arms and
bushings, subframe connectors, strut tower brace, 6 point roll cage,
adjustable rear sway bar, 5 way adjustable tokico shocks at each
wheel and the caster camber plates on the front shock towers, the
lowering springs are motorsport "c" rated springs for the lowering
of the rag top for these baby smooth south florida roads and an
autometer monster tach and shift light inside. - that a lot M.W. |
