From Ford SVTs Website: On the heels of the best-selling Mustang Cobra of all time (SVT produced more than 13,000 Cobras for the '03 model year), the 2004 SVT Cobra bolstered its appeal in the marketplace with two new exterior paint colors, Screaming Yellow and Competition Orange, plus a limited-edition (1,010-unit run) Mystichrome Appearance Package. The Cobra's supercharged 390-horsepower V8, six-speed manual transmission and independent rear suspension all remained standard. While some Mustang enthusiasts found the '04 version desirable because it is the final SN-95-based Cobra to be built in Mustang's Dearborn (MI) birthplace, there's little doubt the 2003-04 SVT Cobra's main attraction is rooted in the fact that it remains the quickest, highest-performing factory built Mustang that Ford has ever made.
