Keith's 96 V6 Vert (supercharged)

Here's a few pic's of my "lightly modified" 96 V6 ragtop.

I've owned this car since 1997. It was a late 1996 model year that I bought as a demonstrator. I always wanted a convertible :)

As the years went on , I tried to do all the usual bolt ons, but honestly, they really don't add up to a lot of additional power. I wanted to build something a little more powerful.

This past summer (2004) the car underwent major surgery to rebuild the motor with forged internals, new heads/intakes/cam and a Vortech V-1 supercharger. This ain't your granny's V6 grocery getter no more!

Mod's to date (Nov 2004) :

Morana 4.2 litre stroker kit (bored 30 over)
Wiseco forged pistons
Cleveland forged rods
F-150 4.2 crank
Clevite bearings
ARP head, rod and mains
Morana main girdle
RPM BV P&P heads
RPM ported lower intake
Morana ported upper
RPM 214/225 Cam
Roller timing chain
1.73 roller rockers
BBK 56mm throttle body
90MM lightning MAF
42# injectors
255 lph Walbro fuel pump
Kenne Bell Boost-a-spark
MSD wires
SCT chip (tuned by Paul @ Steeda.ca)

Chassis / other
Custom 2" dual exhaust with Dynomax Super Turbos and polished stainless tips (H pipe)
Eibach Pro Kit Springs
FMS sway bars
17" GT take off wheels with Firestone 245/45/17 Firehawk SZ50s
3.73's, FMS T-loc and Aluminum driveshaft
Steeda full length sub frames
Pro 5.0 shifter
On top of all that, I've got these on the radar for the next little while:
Custom catted X pipe exhaust / Magnaflow cat back
Mac Long tube headers (these may go on after the new X pip/cats Magnaflows)
Cobra brakes
Steeda springs and Tokico dampners
Custom intercooler
BBK chrome valve covers
And likely a new upper intake and bigger throttle body

The final goal is to get as close to (or over?) 400 hp (at the wheels) as possible.
