Events and Shows

by Randy Rose

I was at the Tennessee Valley Mustang Club of America national show this past weekend (May 2-4). I was "burning down" the main strip in Pigeon Forge (the city where the event was held, right outside of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park).

There were approximately 300 show cars but at least a thousand cars could be seen in the area all weekend. It was difficult to sit in a restaurant without seeing a mustang driving by at all times. Saleen was represented with staffing and a show tent while Steve Saleen showed up to talk and sign autographs ( I have a long distance pic attached with a rear view, but I did not get a close up since I did not have the camera on hand, sorry). BF Goodrich, Year One, and Roush were also represented at the show. For anyone looking for a great show site with many things to do ( dinner shows, attractions, go-carts, shopping, Dollywood, hiking, biking .....) this show is one of the best in the Southeast. I would highly recommend it.
